For today’s Word Study Wednesday, I worked on the word “faith”. Sometimes I use the verse on the cards to guide me in my study but this time I stumbled upon a handy guide in the back of my MacArthur Study Bible and used that for some more in depth study.
This worksheet from Grace To You Church is a great resource to have on hand and to study. I had a pretty simple understanding of faith before digging into the verses that MacArthur has here.
In addition to my study Bible, I either use the Blue Letter Bible app for word study or a Strong’s Concordance (both are linked at the end of the post). I have a detailed explanation of how I use a concordance to do a word study and ways to utilize the Blue Letter Bible app in the video below.
After I’ve done my word study it’s time for a little creative play time. I don’t try and connect the art to the word usually…this is just more of a creative outlet while I reflect on the word study and verses that I read.
For this card I used a variety of Distress Spray Stains and Oxide Sprays for the background, some stamping, and added some die cut elements. The colors of spray used were: Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves, Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Tattered Rose Oxide, Dusty Concord Oxide. The leaves were made using: Rustic Wilderness, Shabby Shutters, and Old Paper.
