At this time of the year, we are often filled with stress as the world tells us we are responsible for the “perfect holiday experience.” With so many obligations and added stressors, life can seem so frantic and anything but peaceful. When peaceful moments do come, our peace can oftentimes seem so fleeting. We may start the day feeling “good”; feeling optimistic and hopeful. We may feel “at peace” with the world, and then life gets involved. This should point us to the fact that our peace will never last forever. Instead, we should be seeking to enter the peace that surpasses all understanding. The peace Jesus promised to leave us in John 14:27. Learn to receive God’s gift of His peace so that like Paul, you may be anxious for nothing.
