Illustrated Faith Revival Camp | Challenge

Hello everyone! I didn’t hesitate to jump in and start Bible journaling with the newest Revival Camp kit from Illustrated Faith and DaySpring. Check out my process video below to see how this entry came together in the new Illustrating Bible.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV

I guess God’s really wanting me to focus on this scripture right now because I’ve journaled it in EVERY journaling Bible that I own (including this new Bible that only has a handful of entries) and I’ve been studying in 2 Corinthians all Summer so it was no surprise when I saw that it was the scripture for Elaine’s CHALLENGE devotional in the Revival Camp kit.

I could’ve added a tip in for my journaling but I thought it’d be interesting to see what other verses go along with this one about God’s strength and our weakness. A quick Google search led me to 1 Chronicles.

Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually!

1 Chronicles 16:11 ESV

Talk about God orchestrating this page…I had this magnifying glass die cut from one of Elaine’s printable sets and this “seek” card is from another set by Elaine. This page might look like a mashup of a lot of different paper pieces but when I look at it I see a reminder to seek God for His strength always but especially when I’m in a valley of weakness.

I know it might sound like I’m trying to constantly sell you on this new Illustrating Bible from DaySpring but really I just love it that much and I can’t stop gushing over it. Look at all of the journaling I was able to fit on this page, with all of these stickers and paper pieces! When I come back to this page I’ll be able to see the other verses that I was studying in 2 Corinthians and my heartfelt prayer as I was working through this devotional.
