Illustrated Faith This Is Love | Mixed Media Tip In

open

Hello everyone! Today I’m back working in the This Is Love devotional kit from Illustrated Faith and DaySpring (the kit was sent to me for review but all opinions are my own). I had already journaled the verses Romans 8:38-39 so I thought this would be a great opportunity to create a tip in with all of the different products from the kit and from the You Are Loved collection.

You can find the process video at the end of this post as well as over on my YouTube channel!

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

I used the Romans 8:38 card from the kit as my focus for my study time today and this particular card doesn’t have any devotional content on it but there a variety of ways you can connect and study without devotional content to guide you. I like to use the Blue Letter Bible app to read different commentaries on any particular verse/s (I personally like the style of David Guzik and Matthew Henry). Whenever there is a verse or passage that I’m having a hard time understanding then I look over at the commentaries to see what their take is on the passage.

A lot of times I will journal any notes that I take away from studying and reading the commentaries but today I chose to include some song lyrics on the back of the tip in since I’d already worked through this verse during advent.

The song, Nothing Ever (Could Separate Us) by Citizen Way, is based around these verses in Romans and I’d encourage you to listen to it as you journal this verse.

No ocean no valley no mountain too high
No power on earth there’s no distance too wide
No height or no depth could keep me from Your love
No failure no weakness no doubt in my mind
No prison around me could keep you outside
No not even death can pull me from Your arms
Nothing ever could separate us
Nothing ever could separate us
Nothing ever could separate us now
And when I can’t see You still I know You’re here
And when I can’t feel You Your promise is clear
Nothing I face can keep me from Your love
My savior my healer my life and my hope
My treasure forever with You I belong
And even in death we won’t be torn apart

You can pick up the This Is Love devotional kit and You Are Loved Collection over at DaySpring…I hope you’ll join in with me! Don’t forget to check out the process video below to see how this tip in came together.
