Hello everyone! I’ve been away from the computer most of this week due to some health complications but I’m hoping to be back up to speed by the end of the week.

I shared an unboxing video on my YouTube channel of the new This Is Love devotional kit from Illustrated Faith and DaySpring and wanted to follow up with some more details and examples of products that I pulled to go along with the kit.

This month’s kit comes with 8 cards that contain devotional content, verses, and room for journaling. I really appreciate that there is a good number of verses referenced in this kit which makes it easier to take the study into the margins of our Bibles.

Being that is February and we are surrounded with everything Valentine’s Day inspired, this kit has a very lovey-dovey theme but is focused in on God’s love for us. For some, Valentine’s Day can be a day of disappointment and frustration but this kit reminds us that we have the greatest, everlasting love of God…who needs dying flowers and cheap chocolate when you have that!

I like to read through the content and then use the cards to create tabs, shapes for layering, tip-ins, etc. In the past I’ve created mini books and even inserted the cards into my planner.

This month we receive 31 die cut pieces instead of the large tip-in shapes that we saw last month. I actually prefer these pieces for my style of Bible journaling and can’t wait to layer these up and add some stitched details.

Like past kits, this one includes a roll of washi tape and a 3×4 stamp set. The washi is a design that will be great for layering and adding details to the page without being too busy and distracting.

The stamp set includes some fun shapes and textures which can be used in other projects as well. In addition to those, we have some large words and some smaller typed elements which will allow for continuity in your entries as you work through this kit though not as versatile as the shapes and textures.

If you are a fan of printing printables on clear label paper then you will love the two sheets of clear stickers! I can’t get over the beautiful colors and textures of this month’s kit! The hand lettered words will be easy to incorporate into your titles and mix and match with your own journaling.

If you were thinking that the color pallet of the This Is Love Kit looked familiar then you are right! The You Are Loved Collection from Illustrated Faith and Bella Blvd. will match perfectly with this month’s kit.

I can’t wait to challenge myself to use up some of these products, like the clear cuts, as I work through the kit this month.

In addition to the You Are Loved Collection, I’ve pulled out some NeoColor II Crayons and Faber Castell Big Brush Markers to work with as I journal through this kit. You can find both of these products over in the ByTheWell4God shop where she offers a special on the Big Brush Markers 😉

I know we’ve been obsessing over the acrylic paints from Target so I pulled out a few of those as well as Raspberry Ice from Martha Stewart (I found mine at Michael’s) to match the brighter pinks in the kit.
