BTW4G Revival Devotional Kit

Hello everyone! Today I’m finally feeling well enough to get some filming and blogging done and I could not wait to show you the newest devotional kit, Revival, from ByTheWell4God.

This kit, as well as some other goodies, where sent to me for review but as always you get my honest opinion and I have to say that this is probably my favorite kit to date!

1

The Revival kit includes a 14 day devotional study that can be stretched into 28 days if you spend a day working in the booklet and then the next day in your journaling Bible. This kit couldn’t be any more timely for me as it’s focus is on revival…revival of the church and our own revival.

My church is going through an extremely difficult transition after our lead pastor stepped down to personal misconduct. This has left our church in a very delicate state and is in need of a Holy Spirit fueled revival.

This kit includes all kinds of fun goodies to help you journal your experience as you work through the devotional. Even if you aren’t someone who journals in your Bible, this would be a great kit to use in your planner or faith journal.

Here’s an excerpt from Day 2 of the devotional to give you an idea of what it covers:

Revive: To restore to consciousness or life; to restore from a depressed, inactive, or unused state: bring back; to renew in the mind of memory. (merriam-webster.com) Add “al” to the end to get revival, and this becomes “the act of reviving.”

What an appropiate description of a spiritual awakening. And when God’s plan of salvation moved beyond his chosen people in Israel, this need of revival of the rest of humanity became very evident. Paul wrote of this to the church of Ephesus:

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.” Ephesians 2:1-3

When we are not living in accordance with the will of God, we are in need of revival. When we do not seek God, we are in need of revival. When we live for ourselves and not for God, we are in need of revival.

Umm…YES AND AMEN! This kit may look cute and fun on the outside but there is some serious content covered in the devotional. And this is only one part of one day!

If you haven’t worked through one of Lori’s kits before then I would encourage you to head on over and grab this one! I cannot wait to see the revival that stems from those of us working through this devotional kit.
