Illustrated Faith #GOALS Session 2

Hello everyone! Today I’m working on session 2 of the #GOALS devotional kit from Illustrated Faith and DaySpring. You can find the process video at the end of this post as well as on my YouTube channel. I’m also offering a free download if you want to recreate this page or create something of your own.

Today’s entry is titled #HopeGoals and we are focusing on our hope goals for this year. The devotional card references Romans 15:13 and I had already journaled this verse but decided to go ahead and do another entry on the opposite page so I could journal some of my hope goals for the year.

¹³May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

I’m so thankful that God is a God of hope because I don’t have the strength to be filled with hope on my own but the Holy Spirit does. One of my #HopeGoals for this year is to be more in tune with the Holy Spirit and where He is leading me and what He is prompting me to do now and in the future.

I struggle with staying hopeful as I look at my future and the future of my family. Of course I hope to one day own our own home and have kids who turn out to be decent human beings but sometimes the daily struggle has me not feeling so hopeful about that type of future.

I’m trying to learn to focus more on being hopeful about the future that God has planned for me and whatever that might look like. I hope that this is a year where I can keep my focus on Jesus and let Him be my goal in everything that I do.
