Bible Journaling Process | Trust

open

Hello everyone, today I’m working in the Preach To The Choir devotional kit from ByTheWell4God. You can find my process video at the end of this post and over on my YouTube channel.

The bright colors and stained glass style of this kit is great but more than that I’m loving the devotional content!

end

But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
    my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
    because he has dealt bountifully with me.

Psalm 13:5-6

Today’s devotional topic is on trust and we take a look at David and his unwavering trust in God. I’m guilty of saying that I trust God but all the while I’ve got a backup plan because I’m a control freak.

It’s pretty arrogant of me to think that I know better than God or that I’m more capable than God. This comes from a weak spot in my own faith and it’s something that I struggle with all the time. It isn’t because I don’t desire a faith like David’s…I would give anything to trust as fully as he did, but it comes from my weak flesh.

As I created my title for this entry, I decided to put that “I will learn to trust” instead of just putting “I will trust”…this is something that I will need to be constantly working on. Thankfully we have an all powerful God who we can call upon when we need the strength and help to develop something like trust!

Head on over and grab this devotional kit for yourself and check out all of the other great journaling items that ByTheWell4God has in their shop.
