Grace Like Rain | Hosea 6:3

Hello everyone! Today I’m journaling in Hosea 6 using the ink smooshing technique and some stamps from Sonshine Stamp Co.! You can find my process video over on my YouTube channel and the stamps I used over in the Sonshine Stamp Co. shop.

Today I decided to keep the page simple and spend some extra time journaling so I used some Tim Holtz Distress Inks smooshed onto the background and did some stamping using the Just My Type set and the Swirls & Stars set.

I love the saying “Grace like rain” so I was on the hunt for a place where I could journal that and I was led to Hosea 6:1-3.

6“Come, let us return to the Lord;
    for he has torn us, that he may heal us;
    he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.
After two days he will revive us;
    on the third day he will raise us up,
    that we may live before him.
Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord;
    his going out is sure as the dawn;
he will come to us as the showers,
    as the spring rains that water the earth.”

I love this idea that even though we might sin and have moments where we fail, all we have to do is repent and God will shower us with His grace! We can be restored and renewed just like the earth is when it is showered with rain. This doesn’t mean that He won’t allow us to experience some storms at times but this is to help refine us and mold us into being more Christ-like.

I don’t know about you but I must love a good rainstorm because I’m pretty stubborn and He has to keep refining me and reminding me who should be the primary focus in my life (hint: it’s God! SMH)
