Hello everyone! I’m super excited to bring the newest Illustrated Faith Rise Up Devotional Kit to you today! They partnered with Kristen Wolbach this month and I think you are really going to love her artwork but, most importantly, her heart in this kit. You can find my unboxing video over on my YouTube channel.
If you aren’t familiar with these kits, they are a monthly devotional kit put out by Dayspring and Illustrated Faith. Each month they recruit a different member of the faith community to write the devotional and create the artwork for the kit.
The kit includes:
- 1 plastic pouch
- 1 devotional booklet
- 1 clear stamp collection
- 1 roll of washi tape
- 1 sheet of cut-out paper pieces
- 2 cardstock sticker sheets
- 3 tip-ins
- 1 magnet
- 1 thank you card from Shanna
I have always been a huge fan of Kristen Wolbach’s artwork (@kristenwolbach) and have followed her on social media since the beginning of my Bible journaling journey. As beautiful as this kit is though, I think it’s the devotional that really shines this month!
I keep trying to pick a favorite day from the devotional but each one touches on a different aspect of my life that I can relate with her on. Christian life isn’t just cupcakes and glitter…there are days that are hard, not glamorous, self-less and full of times that we struggle to be Christ-like.
Some of my favorite moments from her writing are:
Day 2– “We are the proof of His existence. When we are called to rise in the proverbial court rooms of this life, the only evidence that is ever worth having is the confirmation of a life lived and surrendered to Jesus Christ.”
Day 4– “Battle-scarred but rising victorious. You are a warrior with a story to tell…allow God to write it.”
Day 7– “…but I pray we are women who desire to look more like Jesus than the diluted world around us. We are called to rise up into His likeness, even if it means standing apart from the crowd.”
Are you ready to Rise Up?! There is so much more goodness in this kit and I would encourage you to pick up one for yourself. In the meantime, I would ask that you would pray for the women in the faith community and specifically for Kristen. As we grow closer to God and begin to rise up, the evil one gets more and more agitated. He tries to wear us down and speak untruths into our ear to pull us away from finding comfort in the truth of God.
I have found this to be true in my own life and I’m sure some of you have felt it as well. God never promised us that it was going to be easy but we need to continue to let our light shine and Rise Up!
You can find the kit here and also be sure to head on over and check out my unboxing video to get a closer look at the beautiful items that are included.
Until next time!
Lindsey

Hi Lindsey. I by these kits but then never finish them. I guess I run out of ideas as to how to decorate my pages. Do you have any suggestions what to do. Also I have Inktense Pencils but they are hard to work with. I am thinking a buying colored pencils or some Farber castell markers. Any suggestions would be helpfu. Thank you. Jodie

I have experienced the same thing with some kits. I give myself the grace to not have to create a Bible entry for each and every page so that helps a little. Sometimes I have to just set it aside and come back to it in a few days when I’m feeling creative. Allow yourself to be flexible with them. Have you watched some of my videos using the Inktense Pencils? They are one of my favorite products to use once I figured out how I’m most comfortable using them. I have only used colored pencils a couple of times in my journaling, they aren’t a medium that I reach for. I do love my Faber-Castell markers!
