Bible Journaling Process | Doodles To Live By. Day 1

Hello everyone! So, I just couldn’t wait to dive into the latest kit from Illustrated Faith and Dayspring so today I’m bringing you the details of how I worked through Day 1 of the Doodles To Live By. devotional in my Bible. See the process video over on my YouTube channel!

For today’s entry, Elaine has us looking at 1 John:10-11

10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11 And this is the testimony that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

By believing IN Jesus I fully trust all that He says but also fully commit myself to Him. God has used my life and is still using my life to point others to Jesus and Himself. Our lives, our stories, are as much for our own teaching as they are for others.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been through some really difficult times and some of you have been through some even more difficult times in your life than I have. Those seasons were opportunities for my faith to grow and for my relationship with God to deepen. Now that I’m on the other side of some of those seasons I can share those stories with others so they can see the ways God has worked in my life.

We are not the main character of our stories…God is! I know that’s difficult for us to come to grips with since as humans we think WE are the center of the universe but once we stop thinking that way we can start showing others how God is always at the center. It’s not about us, it’s about Him.

Our stories are His stories so we must share them!
